The Internet can transmit various types of information in bulk and with amazing speed among us. As an interactive media that could bring together the whole world, it has grown up to be an indispensable infrastructure in our daily life. Its "open and global" nature has given birth to a wide variety of services and now makes us envisage a brand new style of communication that is independent of the traditional and established system and structure of our society.

Since its foundation IIJ has ever been the front runner in the development and acceptance of the Internet in Japan, building up network infrastructure and realizing many services that have never fallen short of our customers' expectations. We could say that IIJ has created the fundamental environment of the Internet in this country.

We need more innovative technologies and continuous creation of new business concepts so that the development of the Internet brings about the structural change to our industry and society and shows new values to them. In this way we will try harder to promote research, development and innovation in those technologies that we need for a better environment of the Internet as a new media that supports intellectual activities and communications of mankind. We hope our activities contribute to a happier and more prosperous society.

We would like to share our goal with people who are really "innovative" and work together with them in researching and developing new technologies to contribute to the future of the Internet. Together, we believe we could change our society's future.
